Hemming computer fixer and avid paddler Kevin Buckley has spearheaded a campaign to improve play areas in Sherbourne, home of the company’s Dorset office.
Kevin says Sherborne has had a rough time when it comes to play areas recently. Last year the park on Ridgeway in the town was turned into a cemetery. More recently the play equipment at the Blackberry Lane park was dismantled and the council had no funds for a replacement.
After contacting the local MP, Oliver Letwin, the majority of the funding has been secured but the community needs to raise the last £3,000. You can find out more at the campaign’s Just Giving page.
There are other parks in Sherborne but most are aimed at toddlers with very little for kids aged 8 and upwards. The Blackberry Lane site is a beautiful spot with gorgeous views over Sherborne and, as Kevin says, it's a shame not to make the most of it.
